WHO WE ARE

Bad Ass Coffee Company of Santa Cruz is wholly owned and operated by Bob and Barbara Glass of Santa Cruz County. The Glass family has lived in Santa Cruz county for the past 17 years. Through frequent trips to Hawaii (they were married on Kauai) including vacations and scuba diving trips they became familiar with Bad Ass Coffee and that wonderful Hawaiian flavor (not to mention those great mugs and t-shirts)!

In 2001, son William was born to the couple. Near daily trips to Santa Cruz with the baby carriage, led them to think about having a coffee shop that had a Hawaiian atmosphere and was kid friendly. In 2005, they purchased a Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii franchise. In February of 2006, they located the current location at 1207 Pacific and signed a 20 yr. lease with the Vellutini-Russo family, and an agreement with Ernie Hill of Discount Records to convert the property to one of the flagship shops in the Bad Ass Coffee franchise.

Many of you know Bob though his work in user interfaces in the design of software (www.eou.com) and today´s generation of computers. Barbara has a degree from the Culinary Academy of Poland. Together they started Central Coast Minidonuts of Santa Cruz in 2003. Those great donuts will be made fresh each morning at Bad Ass Coffee located at 1207 Pacific Avenue, in Santa Cruz (across from Borders and New Leaf Market).
